Carmen

Carmen Patricia Fater, MD, came to Cape Cod in 1995 with her young family. While raising three sons, she has served as a practicing Family Physician in the community and now works at Harbor Community Health in Hyannis.  Over the years, she has been involved in many community organizations, such as the Cape Cod Synagogue, Calmer Choice, and the Cape Cod Baseball League.  She says her work and volunteer experience have given her an in-depth view of Cape Cod life and she is proud and privileged to now serve on board of The Cape Cod Foundation.

What has inspired you to serve as a member of The Cape Cod Foundation Board of Directors?
“It has been incredibly inspiring to see the massive volunteer movement that exists on Cape Cod. The sheer numbers of well-intended individuals turning their passion into action, being generous with their money and time, is wondrous. The breadth of areas, from environmental to arts to human services, is amazing. So being part of the Cape Cod Foundation, supporting all these endeavors at a high level, with care and purpose, is a profound honor.”
