CCF to Award a Special $25,000 Anniversary Scholarship
April 3, 2014
In honor of the Cape Cod Foundation’s 25th anniversary, two anonymous donors have contributed funds to award a $25,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Cape Cod who is continuing their education at an accredited four-year college or university. The award will be distributed over multiple years if the recipient maintains a specified minimum grade point average.
The deadline for this special scholarship is Friday, April 25th by midnight. Students that already applied for a Cape Cod Foundation scholarship this year will automatically be considered, but new applications will also be accepted until the deadline. For more information and the link to the online application, visit www.capecodfoundation.org.
“We are so thrilled that we can offer this generous scholarship to a local student as we celebrate our 25 years,” said Eileen Miskell, the Cape Cod Foundation’s Chairman and President. “With the continued rising costs of college, it is important to provide resources for students for each year they are in school and so we are delighted that the donors have recognized the need for multi-year support.”
Last year, the Cape Cod Foundation awarded more than $330,000 to over 100 students from Cape Cod and the Islands from its more than 65 scholarship funds. The Foundation also administers scholarships for its supporting organization, the Cape Cod Association, one of the oldest and largest independent scholarship funds in New England, which last year distributed more than $400,000.
Together, we have invested more than $95 million in grants and scholarships in the Cape Cod Community. For good.
