In 2011, the Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) established a scholarship fund with the Cape Cod Foundation. The CCYP Career Connect Scholarship is part of CCYP’s larger Career Connect program, which creates opportunities for local young professionals by linking CCYP, local businesses, and young talent to create and offer internships, scholarships, and mentoring opportunities to foster professional achievement to thrive here on Cape Cod. Initiating the Career Connect Program and establishing a pool of resources to support further educational and professional development for young professionals on Cape Cod was a natural fit with CCYP’s mission to Connect, Engage, Advance.
“Much of the work of CCYP and the impact our organization has had on the community has been possible through the support and partnership with the Cape Cod Foundation and their seamless management of our funds for the Career Connect Scholarship. It is an absolute pleasure working with the Cape Cod Foundation staff and their efforts, professionalism and follow-through have allowed us to make a difference by contributing to the lives of young professionals here on Cape Cod who want to live, work, and raise families here. In less than 3 years, CCYP will have given away $70,000 worth of scholarships, which have allowed local Cape Codders to finish a degree, get an advanced degree, or receive professional certification.”
