The Harwich Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has awarded $1500 to Behavioral Health Innovators to underwrite a one-of-a-kind speaker series for students at Monomoy Regional High School to help them understand and circumvent addiction. The specific goals of the program are to teach students about the teenage brain and the biology of addiction, the problems of self-medication with substances, and ways to avoid substance use.
The Cape Cod Foundation will present a virtual community forum, “Supporting Youth Across Cape Cod,” on Thursday, November 4, from 9:30 am-10:30 am. It is the fourth in a series of forums planned for 2021 to share information about the region’s current needs, resources, and opportunities for community engagement with a larger audience.
