Henry R. Holden
Henry R. Holden is the Immediate Past Chairman of The Cape Cod Foundation. He joined Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2012 and served as Vice Chairman from 2014-2015. He has also served on the Foundation’s Investment Committee since 2007.
Hank graduated from Hobart College and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, USAF. He was stationed world-wide, including Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and Central and South America. In addition, he flew 180 night combat missions in Southeast Asia. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross two times. Hank held various positions in the textile industry – his last Chief Operating Officer of Hinson & Company. For the remaining years until retirement, Hank held various capacities in the investment business – his last position was Managing Director of Commonfund Securities, Inc. In addition, he was a referee for Hockey USA for 25 years.
Hank has served the charitable community in various capacities, including Hobart and William Smith Colleges: as Trustee; member of the Investment Committee; Chair of the Honors Committee; member of the Athletic Board (Emeritus). Hank is past President of the Creative Arts Center in Chatham. He currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Committee for The Chatham Fund, the Orpheum Theatre board, and the Cape Arts & Entertainment board.
