Michael E. Stack

Mike was a partner at Wellington Management where he worked as a fixed income portfolio manager from 2020 until his retirement in 2021.  Prior to joining Wellington, Mike held various senior investment roles in the banking and insurance sectors.  While at Wellington, Mike worked on the investment teams that managed several large balanced funds for Vanguard, including the Vanguard Wellesley and Wellington mutual funds.

Mike earned his undergraduate degree (BA Economics) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, and holds the CFA designation.   More importantly, Mike met his wife Kathy while attending UVA.  Kathy and Mike raised two children in the Boston area prior to relocating to Orleans after Mike’s retirement.

Mike and Kathy were drawn to the mission of The Cape Cod Foundation of helping to improve the lives of all Cape Cod residents.  They are particularly passionate about supporting education and enrichment programs for children with limited financial resources but big dreams.

What has inspired you to serve as a member of The Cape Cod Foundation Board of Directors?
