Robert (Bob) Ament

Robert Ament
Bob has been a lawyer in Falmouth since 1973, primarily dealing with matters of land use regulation. Since 2016 he has practiced in partnership with Kevin Klauer at Ament Klauer LLP. Bob was the first president of the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, and he has served as a director of The Falmouth Service Center and on town committees. In 2004, he received the Town of Falmouth Human Services Committee’s Annual Commendation for his service to non-profits. Bob has been a director of the Woods Hole Golf Club and is currently a trustee of The Marine Biological Laboratory. His wife, Alison Ament, has taught biology at Falmouth Academy for 31 years. Bob and Alison have two children and four grandchildren. Their son, Seth Ament, is a neuroscientist and assistant professor at the University of Maryland Medical School. Their daughter, Elinor Ament Hiller, is an attorney who directs analysis of Medicare legislation for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services in Washington, DC.
