Cape Cod Association Awards $503,500 in Scholarships to 337 Local Students

South Yarmouth – The Cape Cod Association (CCA) recently awarded $503,500 in scholarships to 337 students from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

The Cape Cod Association, founded in 1851, is one of the oldest and largest independent scholarship funds in New England. Since 2004, the organization has provided over $8.4 million in scholarship support.

Qualified students who were born and reside on Cape Cod or the Islands who have shown academic achievement are eligible to apply for these heritage-based scholarships. Graduating high school seniors and past recipient college students can receive awards for up to four years of undergraduate study at colleges and technical schools.

“We are proud to be part of our community’s history and future by investing in the long-term success of young people who live here,” said CCA President David W. Foster, Jr.

The Cape Cod Association’s partner, The Cape Cod Foundation, recently awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to 150 students. Together the organizations exceeded $1.4 million in scholarship support to the region.
