Cape Cod Foundations Offers More Than 80 Scholarships for Many Educational Paths

The Cape Cod Foundation’s annual scholarship application process has begun. The Foundation administers more than 80 different scholarship funds for seniors graduating from high school, current college students, and for adults planning to pursue degrees, complete certificate programs, or take professional development courses.

The scholarship process is entirely online at www.capecodfoundation.org. The deadline for most scholarships is midnight on April 1. Applicants can view an application tutorial and download the Foundation’s Scholarship Information Booklet with complete criteria, deadlines, and application requirements for each scholarship online.

Donors established two new scholarships at the Foundation for 2021:

DEREK JORDAN LIMITLESS SCHOLARSHIP
This $500 scholarship will benefit a high school senior from Cape Cod or a current or returning college student attending Cape Cod Community College full-time who is personally dealing with disease of addiction. Applicants must be able to demonstrate at least one year of sobriety with a letter from a licensed professional.

DISMANTLING SYSTEMIC RACISM THROUGH COMMUNITY ACTION SCHOLARSHIP
Graduating seniors of a Cape Cod high school who are enrolled in a two- to four-year institution are eligible to apply for this scholarship, totaling $2,000 in awards. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to dismantling systemic racism in their school, community, country and/or the world at large.

Last year, The Cape Cod Foundation awarded more than $630,000 to 133 students from Cape Cod and the Islands. The Foundation’s partnering organization, the Cape Cod Association (CCA), awarded more than $400,000 in heritage-based scholarships to 323 students in 2020. Criteria, deadlines, and application requirements for CCA scholarships are online at www.capecodassoc.org.
