Impact: Vision 2020

The Foundation launched this initiative in 2017 to strategically impact two areas: Nonprofit Capacity Building and Youth Development. After careful research, we determined this is where the community needs were the greatest at the time, but the resources were not as strong as they could be—or needed to be. In 2018, we directed a substantial unrestricted endowment gift we received to this initiative and asked several community influencers to join a local collaborative to raise $1 million by the end of 2020. In the fall of 2020, we met that goal.

These endowment funds are still active and have supported many programs and initiatives, including, capacity-building initiatives designed to help nonprofits reach the next level of operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity, youth mentoring programs, housing advocacy and training, educational/training opportunities for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leadership development programs, and strategic, nonprofit collaborations.
