Carolyn Clancy

Before retiring in 2021, Carolyn served as a senior executive with a variety of companies and industries, including high tech, manufacturing, defense, and most notably, financial services at Fidelity Investments.  Her career at Fidelity spanned 22 years. She worked in many facets of the Wealth and Investment industry, including Defined Contribution (401(k)/non-profit 403(b)), Direct Retail, Asset Management, FinTech, and various Wealth Platform businesses.

She has also worked for Honeywell/Loral, Lockheed/Sanders, and Barry Controls. Her roles included Director of Sales & Marketing, National Sales Manager, and Program, Contracts and Product Manager.

Carolyn has extensive Board experience. She has been an Independent Trustee for the State Street Global Advisors SPDR ETF Trusts (Active Trust, Index Shares, Series Trust) since November 2022. She has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Assumption University and a member of the Board of Directors for the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.

She earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Babson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, with a minor in Mathematics, from Assumption College (now University).

Since retirement, she enjoys spending more time on the Cape and with family, traveling extensively, golfing, and working with several nonprofits.

“What has inspired you to serve as a Board member of The Cape Cod Foundation?”
I think of the Cape as my adopted home, and a place I just love.  I really want to be able to give back and participate in helping here in any way I can.  I can’t imagine a more impactful organization than The Cape Cod Foundation.  I’m thrilled to be joining the Board.
