The Cape Cod Foundation Launches Annual Scholarship Program
South Yarmouth—The Cape Cod Foundation has launched its annual Scholarship Program. The organization administers almost 100 different scholarship funds for seniors graduating from high school, current college students, and adults planning to pursue degrees and certificate programs. Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $1 million in scholarship support to 156 local students.

The Cape Cod Foundation is also seeking volunteers with diverse life experiences, outlooks,
local knowledge, and a passion to support Cape Codders pursuing their post-secondary educational goals to participate in the scholarship review process. To learn more about this volunteer opportunity, contact mburwood@capecodfoundation.org.
The scholarship process for the Cape Cod Association, a partner of The Cape Cod Foundation, has also begun. Last year, it awarded $525,000 in heritage-based scholarships to 352 students. Criteria, deadlines, and application requirements for these scholarships are online at capecodassoc.org.
The Cape Cod Foundation has seven new scholarship funds available this year, which were established by donors to support Cape Cod students pursuing their post-secondary educational goals.
Cape Cod Salties Memorial Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors from Barnstable County who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in an environmentally related discipline such as: Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology, Natural Resources and Environmental Science, Marine and Aquatic Sciences, and Conservation Law Enforcement.
Chanda Maraj Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors and alumni of Trinity Christian Academy.
James Higgins Memorial Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors from Cape Cod to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Meghan Constance Moore Memorial Scholarship
For women who are graduating high school seniors from Cape Cod and have demonstrated dedication and hard work as a student-athlete. This scholarship honors Meghan’s remarkable legacy to empower future student-athletes.
Philip “Andy” Fingado Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors from Barnstable High School who are planning to pursue a 2- or 4- year undergraduate degree and have demonstrated a commitment to volunteering and community service.
Sturgis Library Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors from the Town of Barnstable who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree.
Thelma Goldstein Civic Engagement Scholarship
For a graduating high school senior of Falmouth High School with a demonstrated commitment to the community through public service and civic engagement.
The Cape Cod Foundation is a community foundation whose mission is to build permanent charitable resources for community betterment through informed grantmaking and civic leadership. Founded in 1989, the organization celebrated its 35th Anniversary in 2024. Since inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $105 million in scholarships to local students and grants to nonprofit organizations.
