The Cape Cod Foundation Launches Annual Scholarship Program

The Cape Cod Foundation has launched its annual Scholarship Program. The organization administers almost 100 different scholarship funds for seniors graduating from high school, current college students, and adults planning to pursue degrees and certificate programs. Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $1 million in scholarship support to more than 140 local students.

The Cape Cod Foundation has a new scholarship fund available this year, The Cape Cod Foundation STEM scholarship, which was established to support graduating high school seniors, current college students, or returning adult students from Cape Cod who are majoring in STEM and display perseverance and a strong work ethic in achieving their post-secondary educational goals.

To learn more about current opportunities and how to apply online, visit capecodfoundation.org.  Most scholarships are available through The Cape Cod Foundation’s Universal Application. The deadline to apply is March 1. For questions, contact Marielle Sullivan, Senior Scholarship Coordinator, at msullivan@capecodfoundation.org or 508-790-3040.

The Cape Cod Foundation is also seeking volunteers with diverse life experiences, outlooks, local knowledge, and a passion to support Cape Codders pursuing their post-secondary educational goals to participate in the scholarship review process. To learn more about this volunteer opportunity, contact Mary Beth Burwood, Director of Education and Workforce Development at mburwood@capecodfoundation.org.

The scholarship process for the Cape Cod Association, a partner of The Cape Cod Foundation, has also begun. Last year, it awarded over $500,000 in heritage-based scholarships to 334 students. Criteria, deadlines, and application requirements for these scholarships are online at capecodassoc.org.
