The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation Awards $153,148 in Grant to Nonprofits Serving the Community

SOUTH YARMOUTH — The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation recently announced its 2026 grant recipients, awarding $153,418 to 32 nonprofit organizations supporting all areas of community life: health and human services; education, youth and recreation; arts and culture; and the environment.

Sharon Nunes, Chair of The Falmouth Fund Advisory Committee, said, “The generosity of our donors has enabled us to support a broad range of organizations bringing food, housing, medical, and other critical financial assistance to neighbors in need, educational and recreational programs to local youth, and concerts, festivals, and cultural exhibits to the community at large.”

This year’s grant recipients are:

 AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, $4,000
To support ASGCC’s Overdose Awareness, Prevention & NARCAN Response Program that provides free test strips and overdose-prevention education

Alzheimer’s Family Support Center, $5,000
To help fund a dementia caregiver support group and companion group for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases

Amazing Grace of Cape Cod, $10,000
To sustain essential staff and operations that provide mentorship and supportive programs for Falmouth youth impacted by family incarceration, helping them build resilience, leadership, and a positive future

 ArtsFalmouth, Inc., $3,000
To support three of its annual events, the Woods Hole Trad Stroll, Arts Alive, and the Jazz Stroll

Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc., $7,500
To provide professionally staffed, affordable educational, cultural, and recreational programs—including after-school activities and summer camp—for 215 Falmouth children and teens, ensuring healthy growth and character development

Behavioral Health Innovators, Inc., $7,000
To help sustain and expand the Positive Alternatives for Student Support (PASS) program for high school and middle school students, offering critical services for students facing suspension or struggling with mental health and substance use concerns

Belonging to Each Other, Inc., $6,000
To provide free, seasonal and transitional housing with year-round wrap-around services and nutritional support to Falmouth residents experiencing homelessness

Brazilian Resource Center – Health Ministry Inc., $7,500
To help provide free, interim medical care for uninsured and underserved Falmouth residents via the Bridge Care program

Cape Arts & Entertainment, $5,000
To help support a partnership with the Cape Symphony and MVYRadio to present a Spring Concert Series with acclaimed musicians Pokey LaFarge and Leslie Mendelson

Cape Cod Council of Churches, Inc., $5,000
To sustain and expand A Baby Center’s services at the East Falmouth location. Services include providing diapers and postpartum kits to help reduce financial strain for families in need

Cape Kid Meals, $5,000
To support their Childhood Relief Program in Falmouth that ensures access to nutritious food for hundreds of students and preschoolers year-round

College Light Opera Company, $4,000
To help fund five free, family-friendly community concerts at local libraries and outdoor venues, featuring student musicians and vocalists

 Falmouth Bike Lab, Inc., $3,000
To support daily operation expenses of helping people get access to bikes and safety equipment

Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra, $2,000
To help support rehearsal costs, musician stipends, and production costs for a 2026 Baroque Concert

Falmouth Community Television, $5,000
To expand the Digital Navigator Program’s reach by supporting bilingual content, volunteer training, and free access for those unable to pay

Falmouth Jazz, Inc., $3,000
For the “Women Who Lead” project, a five-concert series within Falmouth Jazz’s annual programming that highlights top tier female jazz artists, elevating artistic quality and visibility

Falmouth Jewish Congregation, $2,500
To support the Community Christmas Dinners project that provides festive holiday meals and emotional support to food-insecure and isolated community members

Falmouth High School Robotics Team, $3,000
To help purchase materials and tools that will continue the success of the team this year and beyond

Falmouth Housing Trust, $6,000
To help cover the cost of installing an advanced NitROE denitrification septic system at the Waquoit Project for five permanently affordable, energy-efficient homes on 1.1 acres of a 3.8-acre property

Falmouth Service Center, $10,000
To support their general operating budget so they can further their mission of easing stress, reducing hunger, and improving the quality of life for neighbors in need

Falmouth Theatre Guild, $2,648
To purchase a high-resolution streaming and tracking camera with a controller to replace outdated equipment and improve recording quality at Highfield Theater

Farming Falmouth, $7,500
To expand the Farming Falmouth Community Orchard at Tony Andrews Farm by tripling its size with 230 new fruit trees, creating a space for local food production and community education

Food Justice Initiative, $3,500
To purchase plants and materials for a newly planted orchard with students at Falmouth High School

Habitat for Humanity, $5,000
To help cover the construction costs for four energy-efficient homes in Falmouth, helping address the region’s severe housing shortage and enable essential workers to remain in the community

Highfield Hall & Gardens, $3,000
To help support an exhibition and education program honoring Falmouth native Katharine Lee Bates, author of America the Beautiful, as part of the 2026 Massachusetts historic celebrations

Housing Assistance Corporation, $5,000
To support emergency financial assistance to prevent Falmouth households from becoming homeless

Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break, Inc., $5,000
To help further their mission of building an all-inclusive community where all Veterans and their families can find fellowship, targeted and effective services, and a wide variety of programs

Penikese Island School, $5,000
To support 12 learning trips for 235 6^th graders at Falmouth Morse Pond School to Penikese Island and add a classroom component to enhance engagement and learning in ecology, history, and marine science

The 300 Committee, $2,500
To support the Permaculture green structure at Millstone Farm

 West Falmouth Library, $3,000
To help cover the costs to convert a multi-purpose room into a dedicated Children’s Activity Room, creating a safe, welcoming space for early literacy, creative play, and social-emotional wellness programs

Woods Hole Film Festival, Inc., $2,500
For the Festival’s 35th anniversary project, celebrating over three decades of film programming in Falmouth and to support the Festival’s new strategic vision for the next five years

YMCA Cape Cod, $5,000
To help fund the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Falmouth
