The Falmouth Fund: Robert Ament
ROBERT (BOB) AMENT has been a lawyer in Falmouth since 1973, primarily dealing with matters of land use regulation. Since 2016 he has practiced in partnership with Kevin Klauer at Ament Klauer LLP. Bob was the first president of the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, and he has served as a director of The Falmouth Service Center and on town committees. In 2004, he received the Town of Falmouth Human Services Committee’s Annual Commendation for his service to nonprofits. Bob has been a director of the Woods Hole Golf Club and a trustee of The Marine Biological Laboratory. His wife, Alison Ament, taught biology at Falmouth Academy for 34 years. Bob and Alison have two children and four grandchildren. Their son, Seth Ament, is a neuroscientist and associate professor at the University of Maryland Medical School. Their daughter, Elinor Ament Hiller, is an attorney. She was the Senior Advisor on Medicare to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is now a partner in the health policy group at Alston & Bird in Washington DC.
Together, we have invested more than $106 million in grants and scholarships in the Cape Cod Community. For good.
