The Falmouth Fund: Sharon Nunes, Chair

SHARON NUNES (CHAIR) retired from IBM in 2012 after spending 28 years in several areas of IBM’s businesses: Research, Development, Manufacturing, Corporate Headquarters, and Business Development. Sharon received her Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Connecticut and is currently an emeritus member of the Board of Directors for the University of Connecticut Foundation and a member of the Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Connecticut. Sharon and her husband Ron moved to Falmouth in 2010 and are active in several local nonprofit organizations. Sharon has volunteered at the The Cape Cod Foundation, Falmouth Service Center, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Woods Hole Folk Music Society, Hand in hand Thrift Shop, and Waquoit Congregational Church (WCC), where she is currently the Coordinator for WCC’s Community Engagement program. She was previously Chair of the Board at The Cape Cod Foundation, serving on their board from 2014-2022. Since 2018, Sharon has been Chair of The Falmouth Fund.
