Scholarship Committee Volunteer
Meghan Kemp believes in paying it forward. She and her husband both received scholarships from The Cape Cod Foundation. “The impact those scholarships had on our lives was huge. They allowed us to access education and opportunities that would not have been available to us otherwise. I was so grateful for that support and really wanted to make sure that I could give back and be a part of the team that makes those scholarships possible.”

Meghan has worked with Cape Cod Children’s Place, the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, and the Community Health Center of Cape Cod. Today she serves as the Youth Services Librarian at the Eldredge Public Library in Chatham. Championing early literacy and ensuring local families have access to critical resources has been a constant theme throughout her professional career.

“It’s a tremendous privilege for me to serve on the Scholarship Committee,” she says. “When I read the applications every year, I have so much hope for the future of Cape Cod. These students are so accomplished and work so hard, often in the face of tremendous challenges. They really inspire me! It’s also a treat to work with the other committee members. Everyone is so thoughtful and invested in this process.”
