Since 2022, The Cape Cod Foundation has awarded $154,000 in grants to the nonprofits listed below to support programs and initiatives that strengthen the lives of women and girls throughout the region, now and in the years to come.

Our early grantmaking has focused on funding initiatives that would help break the cycle of poverty by increasing economic opportunity and self-sufficiency for women through trainings and educational programs and break down barriers for girls by providing new, expanded, or more accessible educational opportunities, out-of-school programs, and mentorship opportunities. We’ve also invested in initiatives that connect women and girls to critical resources.

These grants align with the Foundation’s goals for nonprofit capacity-building and organizational strategies to increase impact: supporting promising new initiatives; replicating successful programs, promoting partnerships and collaborations; increasing core competencies, and building supportive communities for women and girls to thrive. 

In 2025, The Women and Girls Fund adapted its grantmaking process from reactive and open-applications toward a proactive and by-invitation process. The Advisory Committee and Foundation staff conducted needs-assessment research and held listening sessions with local organizations to identify projects for funding consideration that aligned with our grantmaking criteria, values, and priority communities.

We will announce our grantmaking plans for 2026 in late fall.
