The Cape Cod Foundation currently administers more than 65 active scholarship funds totaling approximately $18 million in principal. The Foundation’s scholarship office coordinates all scholarship activity and provides students, parents and school officials with an available resource for scholarship information.
Unless otherwise noted, the Cape Cod Foundation’s scholarships serve graduating high school seniors and continuing college students from Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties. (Please see scholarship descriptions for specific criteria.) Most of the awards are based on academic merit and financial need.
Typically, selection committees meet in May and students are notified by early June. Successful applicants will be sent an acceptance form, containing all of the details of the scholarship. The form must be signed and returned to the Cape Cod Foundation before payment is made. With few exceptions, payments are made directly to the student’s college or university. The Cape Cod Foundation only awards scholarships to students attending educational institutions and programs in the United States, or through a US-based institution.
