Cape Cod Association Launches 2026 Scholarship Program

South Yarmouth – The Cape Cod Association is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. Last year, the organization awarded over $500,000 to 334 local students pursuing higher education.

Founded in 1851, the Cape Cod Association is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, marking nearly two centuries of support for students from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket in their pursuit of higher education.

“It is a great honor for the volunteer Board and Committee members to follow each year’s amazing group of students through their college years, knowing that the Association played a role in helping them achieve their educational goals,” said David Foster, Jr., President of the Cape Cod Association Board. “As the financial burden of higher education becomes more and more out of reach for so many hard-working families and students, we strive to help the next generation of rising contributors from a special place we call home.”

Foster said the organization plans to award $500,000 in scholarships again this year.

Applicants who were born on and currently reside on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Nantucket are eligible to apply. Cape and Islands heritage, academic merit, and extracurricular activities are considered in the selection process.

Scholarships are offered to graduating high school seniors for up to four years of an undergraduate program and current college students who are past recipients of a Cape Cod Association award. Applicants may be enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program at colleges and universities or technical schools anywhere in the United States. The organization does not fund graduate education.

The application deadline for past recipients of a Cape Cod Association scholarship is 11:59 pm on March 15. The deadline for high school seniors is 11:59 pm on April 1. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The application process is entirely online. For more information and to access applications, visit www.capecodassoc.org. Questions may be directed to info@capecodassoc.org or by calling 508-790-8055.
