At the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, The Cape Cod Foundation allocated $100,000 in discretionary money to establish The Cape Cod Foundation Strategic Emergency Response Fund.  Through the generosity of private foundations, corporate partners, and individual donors, we raised $5,660,000 to support local nonprofit organizations providing critical programs and services to residents in need and to fund nonprofit capacity-building initiatives that help them reach the next level of operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity for long-term stability and lasting change.  All funds raised were for current use (not endowment) and supported nonprofit organizations serving Cape Cod residents.
