Our Impact: Vision 2020

The Foundation launched this initiative in 2017 to strategically impact two areas: Nonprofit Capacity Building and Youth Development. After careful research, we determined this is where the community needs were the greatest at the time, but the resources were not as strong as they could be—or needed to be. In 2018, we directed a substantial unrestricted endowment gift we received to this initiative and asked several community influencers to join a local collaborative to raise $1 million by 2020. In the fall of 2020, we met that goal.

These endowment funds are still active and have supported many of the programs and initiatives highlighted in our 2023 report, Connecting Cape Cod.

  • Nonprofit Capacity-Building Grants. From 2020-2021 alone, 25 local organizations received grants through our Targeted and Comprehensive Capacity-Building Grant Programs to support initiatives that will help them reach the next level of operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity.
  • YMCA Y Achievers Program. This program connects high school students with powerful mentors and the resources they need to succeed after high school and beyond.
  • Housing Advocacy and Training
  • Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) and EforAll Partnership. The collaboration promotes regional training and educational opportunities for entrepreneurs.
  • Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s Cape Cod and Islands Core Certificate Program
  • Lower/Outer Cape Leadership Forum
