Fund for Sandwich Awards Additional $13,500 in Grant to Local Nonprofits
SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Fund for Sandwich of The Cape Cod Foundation recently completed its Annual Competitive Grant Cycle and awarded $13,500 in grants to six nonprofits serving the community. Earlier this year, the Fund awarded additional grants, bringing their total awards for 2025 to $26,010.
“Our grantmaking impacts all areas of community life and a wide cross-section of residents,” said Madeleine Wing Adler, Chair of the Fund’s Advisory Committee. “This year’s recipients are helping to provide financial assistance and critical health and human services for Sandwich residents in need, supporting one-to-one mentoring, afterschool, and summer programs for Sandwich youth, and advancing several cultural initiatives in town”
Recent Grant Recipients Include:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & Islands, $2,000
To support one-to-one mentoring to Sandwich youth
Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc., $2,500
To support an afterschool program that serves Sandwich children
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, $2,500
To support the Coastal Explorer STEAM Program
Community Health Center, $2,000
To support expanded access to social determinants of health supports for residents of Sandwich
Sandwich Food Pantry, $2,500
To support food security for Sandwich residents
The Benjamin Nye Homestead & Museum, $2,000
To provide accessible education tools like video tours and digitized archival materials
Since The Fund for Sandwich was established in 2017, it has awarded more than $139,000 in grants to 41 local nonprofit organizations. The Fund’s Advisory Committee will continue to seek private donations to support the wide range of nonprofits serving the Sandwich community and will conduct another grant cycle in 2026 to support additional organizations.
