During its Annual Grant Cycle, The Chatham Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $50,000 in grants to 11 nonprofit organizations serving the community.
The Cape Cod Foundation Launches Annual Scholarship Program
The Cape Cod Foundation has launched its annual Scholarship Program. The organization administers almost 100 different scholarship funds for seniors graduating from high school, current college students, and adults planning to pursue degrees and certificate programs. Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $1 million in scholarship support to 156 local students.
The Harwich Fund Awards $21,500 to Nonprofits Serving Community
The Harwich Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $21,500 in grants to nine nonprofit organizations serving the Harwich community. These grants (detailed below) will help provide new winter coats for hundreds of local children, weekend meals for 40 children and families, financial stability programs for up to 475 residents, and outreach and respite care for up to 30 Alzheimer’s patients and care givers in need, among other things.

The Fund for Sandwich of The Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded $16,500 in grants to nonprofit organizations serving the community.
“Our grantmaking continues to encompass all areas of community life and to impact a wide cross-section of residents,” said Madeleine Wing Adler, Chair of the Fund’s Advisory Committee. “This year’s recipients are supporting food security for neighbors in need, creating educational and recreational opportunities for youth, providing critical health and human services, and bringing unique cultural experiences to Sandwich.”

Now entering its 35th Anniversary Year, the community foundation manages 330 individual funds and reports assets of more than $100 million. It has also reached another major milestone since inception by distributing more than $100 million back into the community through scholarships to local students and grants to nonprofit organizations serving residents across Cape Cod.
