About Town Funds

Changing Cape communities. For good.

Home is where the heart is.  Whether it’s your home town or your home-for-now town, we all want that place to be everything it can be.  Not just for us.  For everyone who lives there.  Not just for now.  For many years to come.

That’s how our Town Funds came about. Each one started as a grass roots movement. Each time, a few, caring people came together to help the nonprofit organizations in their town do good. For good. Some residents provided vision and leadership; others donated generously. Together they created a permanent endowment fund with The Cape Cod Foundation. Through wise investing and solid management, we help the Funds grow so that their earnings can go right back into the community. Where they belong. This year. Every year.

Since they’ve been established, The Chatham Fund, The Falmouth Fund, and The Fund for Sandwich have collectively distributed almost $550,000 in grants to local nonprofits serving their communities.

If you live in one of these towns, please donate. Your gift powers up projects and programs that make your community better. Your gift also has a greater impact in the community because it is multiplied with others.

If your home town doesn’t have a Town Fund, start one. There’s a well-blazed trail for you to follow. And, we’ll help you every step of the way.
