SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation awarded $100,000 in grants to 31 nonprofit organizations at a reception hosted at the Falmouth Museums on the Green on March 11.
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, since 2010, we have invested nearly $700,000 back into the Falmouth community,” said Sharon Nunes, Advisory Committee Chair. “We are extremely grateful for their continued support.”
Nunes said The Falmouth Fund was established to support the work of area nonprofits that are doing remarkable work in all areas of the Falmouth community: education, health and human services, arts and culture, and the environment. Now as the Fund enters its second decade, the Advisory Committee is especially focused on continuing to build its endowment.
“The projects and programs we help fund impact thousands of people and are vital to our community,” Nunes said, “While we are proud of our accomplishments, we must also plan for the future. There will be always be challenges and opportunities ahead.”
