Jeanne Ruckert Lovy joined The Cape Cod Foundation as Program Officer in 2023, bringing more than 30 years of experience working successfully with families, schools, and organizations to the Cape community.

Most recently, Jeannie served as an independent consultant for universities and employers invested in childcare solutions during and after the COVID 19 health crisis. Before that, she was Director of Family Services for Johns Hopkins University, responsible for shared services benefitting working families across 50,000+ employees of the University and Health System. In this role she developed financial assistance programs, implemented benefits, oversaw an award-winning lactation program, and managed programs, contracts, and vendors.

Before that, she was Vice President, Children and Families at the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, responsible for board relationships and stewardship of major gifts as well as oversight of six childcare centers and family engagement activities across the Boston area.

Jeannie earned her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University. She served on the boards of CUWFA (Colleges and University Work Family Association), JCC Association’s National Consultation program, Palo Alto Children’s Museum and Zoo, Stanford University Summer Symphony Series, and synagogues on both the east and west coasts.

She has spent summers and holidays on the Cape since childhood and finally realized her dream of moving to Yarmouth Port permanently in 2020. She loves real and “armchair” travelling, reading mysteries and memoirs, attending Broadway shows, watching F1 racing, and cheering on the Patriots. Her three adult children live in Boston, Durham, and Sacramento.
