Dara P. Gannon, Director of Programs and Donor Services
Dara Gannon joined The Cape Cod Foundation as Program Officer in 2013 and was promoted to Director of Programs and Donor Services in January 2018. Her responsibilities include overseeing the scholarship programs for The Cape Cod Foundation and its supporting organization, the Cape Cod Association. She also manages the Foundation’s grant programs and works closely with fundholders to identify and achieve their charitable goals. She is also actively involved with the Foundation’s civic leadership work.
Dara is a member of the Advisory Board for Love. Live. Local. Previously, she served as a Board Member of Cape Cod Young Professionals and the Cape Cod Technology Council, as well as a member of the Planning Committee for Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod. She is a graduate of the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod & the Islands and earned a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership through the Institute for Nonprofit Practice at Tufts University’s Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life. In 2014, she was honored as one of “40 Under 40” leaders by Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine.
Originally from Chicago, Dara moved to Cape Cod in 2011 with plans to spend the summer on the beach, realizing after a short time that she didn’t want to leave. Prior to moving to the Cape, she lived in Boulder, CO and received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado. Dara lives in Dennis and spends her time biking, practicing yoga, and walking her three dogs.
Together, we have invested more than $80 million in grants and scholarships in the Cape Cod Community. For good.
