Bill Hough

Bill is editor of the Falmouth Enterprise and publisher of the Enterprise newspapers in Bourne, Sandwich, Mashpee, and Barnstable in addition to Falmouth. He is a graduate of Hampshire College and began working at the family-owned newspaper in 1982. He and his sister, Margaret Hough Russell, were named co-publishers in 1994, and Bill took on the role of sole publisher when his sister left the business in 2005 to manage The 300 Committee, Falmouth’s land bank. He is the former co-publisher of On The Water magazine, a fishing publication he established with Chris Megan in 1996. He sold his interest in On The Water when Ms. Russell left the newspaper. He is married to Monica Hough, who teaches at Falmouth Academy, and has three grown children.
