$10,000+

It takes a community to change a community.  We’d like to thank the following businesses for their generous support of The Women and Girls Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation. The Cape Cod 5 Foundation has contributed $25,000 to support women and girls in our community. To help kick-start our Women and Girls Fund Community Challenge, Eastern Bank Foundation will donate $50,000 to the campaign. The Lawrence-Lynch Corp. Foundation for Charitable Giving Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has made a $100,000 commitment to the Fund over four years.  In addition to providing seed funding to establish the fund, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has pledged additional support over the next two years to bring their total investment in the fund to $50,000. We are so grateful for this critical support from leading Cape Cod businesses.

“At Cape Cod 5, we know that investing in the financial empowerment of women and girls is crucial to the economic health of our region. We are proud to support The Women and Girls Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation as it builds resources to help women and girls overcome the unique challenges that can prevent them from getting ahead.”

Chair, The Cape Cod 5 Foundation

Lawrence-Lynch Corp. Foundation for Charitable Giving Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation

“When we reviewed the information provided by the Cape Cod Foundation; that less than 2% of charitable giving in the United States is directed specifically to non profits serving women and girls (BIPOC and female identifying people included), and as a company, we are also aware that locally, the cycle of poverty effecting these marginalized groups continues, we felt a responsibility to be of assistance. We applaud CC Foundation’s efforts to strengthen the lives of women, girls and females of color in our region. At Lawrence Lynch Corp., we have great respect for the unwavering commitment and talent that our past and current professional women bring to work on a daily basis and therefore, we are making this donation to the Women and Girls Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation, in honor of them.”

—Raquel Rodriguez
Director of the Lawrence Lynch Fund

“Women consistently serve as lynchpins in our families, communities, and workplaces yet women of all ages, especially those from historically marginalized groups, don’t always get the social, educational, and financial support they need to reach their full potential. The Women and Girls Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation empowers non profits preparing women for more success at school and on the job, which is a vital stepping stone to building greater economic equity and more mobility and Eastern Bank Foundation is proud to support these efforts.”

—Nancy Huntington Stager
President & CEO, Eastern Bank Foundation

“Cape Cod is not immune to the socio-economic challenges women and girls face throughout the world, and these disparities were exacerbated even further by the global pandemic.  The uneven playing field and lack of services in education, healthcare, childcare, as well as the ongoing wage gap, create often insurmountable barriers for women and girls, especially within traditionally marginalized communities like BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neuro-divergent, and those living with disabilities. To help break the cycle of poverty and inequity, The Coop is proud to support The Women & Girls Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation. Together, we can help support our community and break down the obstacles that prevent female-identifying people from recognizing their full potential. I hope other organizations and members of the community will donate generously to the fund and support improving the lives of women and girls right here on Cape Cod.”
