“With so much negativity in the world today, it’s been an absolute pleasure to read about the accomplishments and dreams of our local students,” said Jodi Conway. “So many of them face significant obstacles in their everyday lives, and to see their tenacity and motivation to keep moving forward and improving themselves is so inspiring to me.”

Jodi, who has served on the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee for several years, has worked in the college financial aid profession for 40 years.

“This work checks all the boxes for me,” she said. “I enjoy working with numbers and deadlines, but I derive the most satisfaction from working closely with and getting to know my clients on a personal level. Applying for financial aid can be overwhelming and confusing, and I love knowing that I’ve alleviated that stress.”

Her volunteer role with the Foundation gives her another opportunity to support students. “I love being involved with awarding money to deserving, motivated students!” said added. “The volunteers that I’ve reviewed with are wonderful, generous people. I wish we had the opportunity to work together more than once per year! It’s nice to spend time with like-minded people.”
