The Sean M. Gannon Memorial Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation awarded its inaugural Police Academy Scholarship to Stephanie Connolly of Rehoboth. The memorial fund was created by Sgt. Gannon’s family to honor the Yarmouth Police Department K9 Officer who was killed in the line of duty on April 12, 2018. Its mission is to promote education, health, and leadership by encouraging service through action. The K9 Sgt. Gannon Self-Sponsor Scholarship covers tuition for a recruit to attend the Cape Cod Municipal Police Academy.
Cape Cod Foundation Announces Community Matching Challenge to Raise $1.5 Million For Pandemic Relief
The Cape Cod Foundation has raised an additional $750,000 for its Strategic Emergency Response Fund and has just issued a matching challenge to the community. If successful, the new “Respond, Rebuild & Reimagine” community challenge will generate an additional $1.5 million for immediate and ongoing pandemic relief on Cape Cod.

SOUTH YARMOUTH—The Cape Cod Foundation recently received a bequest totaling nearly $6.4 million from an anonymous donor who wanted to ensure there would be resources in perpetuity to support the community. This is the single largest bequest gift that The Cape Cod Foundation has received to date.
